Bevis Hill Communication Tower Replacement Project -Equipment Procurement

Contract 1 - Steel Lattice Communication Tower

The County of Schenectady will be accepting sealed bids to provide one self-supported steel lattice communications tower.

Digital copies of the specifications may be obtained from BidNet Direct at: or by submitting a request to the Purchasing Department at Please specify if printed copies are required in your request. You will be notified when they are ready for pickup.

All proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked "Bid" and stating: Bevis Hill Communication Tower Replacement Project - Contract 1 - RFB-2018-38, to Schenectady County Purchasing, no later than 2:00 PM on July 27, 2018 at which time they will be opened.

Bids must be submitted upon the proposal form(s) furnished.

Bid Security shall be submitted with each bid as described in General Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid will be required. This deposit shall consist of a bid bond or certified check payable to the COUNTY OF SCHENECTADY. Failure to submit a bid bond or certified check with bid will result in automatic disqualification of bid.

The County reserves the right to revise or amend the specifications prior to the date set for opening bids. Such revisions and amendments, if any, will be announced by addenda to this advertisement. Schenectady County will make any investigation it deems necessary to determine the responsibility of any bidder to perform the work. The County reserves the right to reject any bid if an investigation of the bidder fails to satisfy the county that the bidder is responsible and can carry out the obligations of the contract.
