The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) releases this Request for Information (RFI) to gather information on the provisions and resources available for provider credentialing services. The Ohio Department of Medicaid will be procuring a comprehensive Provider Network Management module as part of a modular Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). This will entail ODM assuming responsibility for credentialing for all Medicaid providers, including those working through the contracted Managed Care Plans (MCPs). The intent of this RFI is to learn more about the credentialing process and understand the marketplace for credentialing services. ODM intends to release a comprehensive Provider Network Management module Request for Proposal (RFP) in the future, but first would like to learn more about the main components of the credentialing process and what a supplier can offer for these services. This RFI seeks responses from potential suppliers experienced in providing credentialing services for state Medicaid managed care and fee-for-service providers. ODM will incorporate information gathered through this RFI into the planning of that procurement.
